First stakes success for Yesyes

Yesyes prevailed in a tight finish in the L. Chester Stakes to earn her first blacktype on Saturday.

Taken from the Thoroughbred Daily News, 22nd August 2021:

Yesyes, who went untested as a juvenile, backed up wins at Haydock and Lingfield earlier in the campaign with a fourth in Newmarket's July Listed Chalice Stakes on her blacktype bow last time and stepped up on that latest effort to register a career high at Chester on Saturday.

Lobbing along in a handy fourth after breaking in the front rank, she was shuffled back to sixth at halfway and stayed on relentlessly once making her challenge out wide with three furlongs remaining to deny the rallying pacesetter Dancing King by a pixel in a thrilling bobber.

"She is a very big filly and did very well to win round here," said winning rider John Egan. "When she's fully matured, she'll be very, very nice. I wouldn't say she needs cut, but she went on it. She may go equally as well, if not better, on good ground and I think she's got a nice future."

Yesyes is the third foal and blacktype performer for the Listed Prix de Liancourt placegetter Shared Account (Dansili), who also produced Gr.3 Prix des Reservoirs victrix Pocket Square and Gr.2 May Hill Stakes third Sand Share (Oasis Dream). The February-foaled bay, who hails from the family of Gr.1 July Cup and Gr.1 Prix de l'Abbaye hero Continent, is also kin to the two-year-old filly Spirited Account, a yearling colt by Oasis Dream and a weanling filly by Night of Thunder. Shared Account is a full-sister to Gr.1 Grand Prix de Paris hero Zambezi Sun and Listed Prix Petite Etoile victrix Zero Gravity.
