Verbal made an impressive winning debut in October of his two-year-old season at Belmont Park where he posted a four length winning margin over his rivals in a maiden race.

Following his successful debut he was pre-entered in the Gr.1 Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf. He was unable to get into the race and was rerouted to the Gr.3 Cecil B DeMille Stakes at Del Mar. He raced unhurried in the early stages of the race but made rapid progress in the final stretch. He closed relentlessly and got his nose in front at the line to win by half a length for his first Graded success.

By Flintshire, a multiple Gr.1 winner and Juddmonte's highest earning colt, he is Endless Chat's first blacktype winner.
