Task Force (GB)

Task Force was a debut winner, breaking his maiden at Salisbury in July of his two-year-old season. Despite showing some greenness the three and a quarter-length win earned him TDN's 'Rising Star' tag.

His next run saw him take on his first stakes race in the Listed Ripon Champion Two Year Old Trophy Stakes over six furlongs. He was settled in behind the leaders early before making his move wide to tackle his rail-running stablemate Matters Most inside the final furlong before asserting for a  one and a quarter-length success.

Task Force took a big step up in class in his next race the Gr.1 Juddmonte Middle Park Stakes where he ran out an honourable runner-up behind winner Vandeek who had already claimed a Gr.1 victory prior to this.

Task Force is the second stakes winner and third stakes-performer out of Special Duty, winner of the Gr.1 1,000 Guineas, Gr.1 Poule d’Essai des Pouliches and Gr.1 Cheveley Park Stakes. She is a half-sister to the dam of the Gr.1 Breeders’ Cup Mile victor and sire Expert Eye, from the family of further Gr.1 winners Sightseek and Tates Creek.
