Skellet (IRE)
b f Kingman - Dane Street (Street Cry)
Ralph Beckett
Skellet broke her maiden on the second run of her two-year-old season. The win came in September of that year at Salisbury and earned her a TDN 'Rising Star' tag. She stepped up markedly in grade for her third and final start as a juvenile finishing a close second in the Gr.3 Oh So Sharp Stakes at Newmarket's Rowley Mile racecourse.
As a three-year-old she finished unplaced in the Group 1 Irish 1000 Guineas and Group 1 Coronation Stakes before claiming the runner-up spot in the Group 3 Prix Chloe at Chantilly in July of that season. She returned to the track in September and claimed her first blacktype success by a neck in the Listed Fortune Stakes at Sandown.
Skellet was bred by Airlie Stud and Sonia Rogers and is the seventh foal out of Street Cry mare Dane Street. Skellet is Dane Street's fourth blacktype performer and is a half-sister of Gr.1 Moyglare Stud Stakes winner Skitter Scatter and dual Group-placed and stakes winner Victory Dance.
