Shader was unraced as a juvenile but won easily in a pair of novice events in his three-year-old season on his second and third starts - posting winning margins of seven and a half lengths and three and three-quarter lengths respectively.
He placed on his first run as a four-year-old in May of 2025 and his blacktype breakthrough came with a win in November of that year in the Listed Floodlit Stakes at Kempton over 12 furlongs. Just over three weeks later he was the runner-up in the Listed Churchill Stakes behind Dubai Honour at Southwell. He then went on to reverse that result in the Listed Wild Flower Stakes back at Kempton in December, beating Dubai Honour by a length and a half for his second stakes win.
He is the second runner and second winner out of Gr.3 Musidora Stakes-winner Shutter Speed (Dansili).
