Seismic Wave raced twice as a two-year-old, placing both times. He made his three-year-old debut in February 2019, taking his maiden victory at Gulfstream Park. This was quickly followed in March by his first blacktype win in the Cutler Bay Stakes, again at Gulfstream Park.
Over the summer Seismic Wave produced a string of consistent performances in Group company with the highlights a second place in the Gr.3 Pennine Ridge Stakes at Belmont Park in June and a third-place finish in the Gr.3 Saranac Stakes at Saratoga in August. The Tapit colt then put up an impressive last-to-first victory in the English Channel Stakes at Belmont Park.
In 2020, Seismic Wave was a game runner-up in the Gr.3 Poker Stakes in July.
