Red Letter (GB)

Red Letter finished runner-up on her debut performance at the Curragh as a two-year-old, narrowly beaten by Lake Victoria who went on to record three Group 1 wins that season. He maiden win came in her next performance at the same track, where a four and a half-length winning margin saw her earn a TDN 'Rising Star' Tag. She finished a close fourth in the Gr.1 Moyglare Stakes in her last race of her juvenile season.

As a three-year-old she was unplaced in the Gr.1 1000 Guineas but finished less than three lengths behind the winner Desert Flower. Her next run in the Listed Kooyonga Stakes at Navan saw her finish second to subsequent Group winner Barnavara. Her first blacktype win came on 16th July at Killarney as she captured the Listed Cairn Rouge Stakes over a mile.

Building on her confidence-boosting win in the Listed Cairn Rouge Stakes, she proved the step up to nine furlongs held no fears with a strong-staying effort in the Group 3 Snow Fairy Stakes at the Curragh on 30th August.. Held up by Gary Carroll, she had to come around Sand Gazelle (Frankel) inside the final furlong but her trademark acceleration came to the fore en route to an authoritative one and a half-length success.

She is the first winner from two runners out of the dual winner and Listed Chelmer Fillies’ Stakes-placed Red Impression.
