b f Frankel - Ruscombe (Dansili)
Petricor ran once as a two-year-old, breaking her maiden on debut at Deauville. She earned TDN 'Rising Star' status for the performance which saw her finish powerfully to a length and a half winning margin over her nearest rival.
She wasn't seen again until her three-year-old year where her seasonal return saw her place second, behind another Frankel filly Rumi, in the Gr.3 Prix Vanteaux at Paris Longchamp. She then went on to earn her first blacktype less than a month later in the Listed Prix Finlande (also at ParisLongchamp). Trainer André Fabre commented: "She had improved on her first start this season. The [ Gr.1] Prix de Diane or the [Gr.1 Epsom] Oaks remain possible targets, but she will have to improve more."
Petricor transferred to the stable of Bill Mott for her four-year-old season and won an Allowance race at Keeneland on her first run in the US in April 2022.
Petricor is the first foal from stakes performer Ruscombe and hails from a family packed with Group winners including Derby and Arc de Triomphe winner Workforce and St Leger winner Brian Boru.
