Fulsome (USA)

Fulsome ran twice on turf towards the latter part of his juvenile year with a second place his best finish. He then kicked off his three-year-old seasonal debut with a win on turf at Fair Grounds in January. He returned to Fair Grounds for his first stakes race in late February where he placed fourth before recording two subsequent wins on the dirt in an allowance race at Keeneland and the Listed Oaklawn Stakes at Oaklawn Park at the beginning of May.

He then stepped up in grade to tackle the Gr.3 Matt Winn Stakes at Churchill Downs. Despite a slow break Fulsome raced handily and picked off his main rivals to win by a three and three-quarter length margin to become the first graded winner for his dam Flourish. He added victory in the Gr.3 Smarty Jones Stakes to his resumé at the end of August - picking off his rivals from out wide and staying on to register a two-length winning distance.

Fulsome started his four-year-old season with a flourish. He rallied from last place to overcome the field and win the Gr.3 Oaklawn Mile by a neck on 2nd April. Trainer Brad Cox commented: "He always tries and that's kind of what I was hoping for coming into this race - we were going to see some pace. He was able to get things set up for him and he made a big run and had his momentum down the lane. He ran big."

Fulsome collected an optional claiming victory at Churchill Downs in June 2022 before tackling the Gr.3 West Virginia Governor's Stakes at Mountaineer in August. He made a sweeping move on the turn and charged into the stretch to win by a length and a quarter to claim his fourth Graded win.
