Flaming Stone began her career as a two-year-old in the UK with trainer Andrew Balding. She broke her maiden at Newbury on her second start and went on to place third in the Listed Star Stakes at Sandown and fourth in the Gr.3 Sweet Solera Stakes at Newmarket.
She transferred Henri-François Devin for her three-year-old season, and won the Listed Prix La Camargo on her first run for her new stable.
Flaming Stone is the fifth of six foals and second stakes scorer out of a half-sister to Group 3-winning G1 Irish 2000 Guineas third Blue De Vega and Listed Prix Coronation placegetter Bionic Woman, the first being Gr.2 Premio Lydia Tesio and Gr.3 Pride Stakes victrix
