Deep Flame made his debut as a three-year-old in February 2026. He placed second in a maiden at Fair Grounds and then posted another runner-up effort at Keeneland seven weeks later. Deep Flame broke his maiden on his third run out, sailing home in a Churchill Downs maiden race in May.
He made his blacktype debut at the end of June, winning the Grade 3 Maxfield Stakes at Churchill Downs to become the first stakes winner for his dam, Barabdia (Speightstown) and the 100th Graded stakes winner for his sire Into Mischief.
