Consequent broke her maiden on 14th November at the fall Del Mar meeting. She won over a mile, hitting the line half a length ahead of her rivals.
She was next seen at Los Alamitos making her first blacktype start in the Grade 2 Starlet Stakes at the beginning of December. Consequent raced in third for much of the race but took the outside line to get past Cashed and Nimah in the straight, winning by a length.
Homebred Consequent is the fourth foal out of Uncle Mo mare Cognitive, a $500,000 yearling purchase in 2016. She is the first Graded winner out of her dam, who has also produced a stakes-winning full sister, Show Card.
