Bluestocking was a debut winner as a juvenile and then went on to place in five stakes races as a three-year-old including the Gr.1 Juddmonte Irish Oaks at the Curragh and the Gr.1 Champion Fillies and Mares Stakes at Ascot.
Her first Group win came in the Gr.2 Middleton Stakes at York's Dante meeting in May 2024. She followed this up six weeks later with a thrilling run in the Gr.1 Pretty Polly Stakes at The Curragh where she ran down dual Group 1 winner Emily Upjohn in the final furlong.
Following a brave performance that saw her place second in the Gr.1 King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes and a fourth-placed finish in the Gr.1 Juddmonte International, Bluestocking's next assignment was the Gr.1 Prix Vermeille at ParisLongchamp on 15th September. In a quality field of 12, she was settled in a prominent position. She led into the straight and was briefly headed by Aventure but rallied to run out the winner by three-quarters of a length.
On 7th October 2024, she made history becoming Juddmonte's seventh Gr.1 Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe winner. She was subsequently crowned Horse of the Year and Outstanding Filly/Mare at the 2024 Racehorse Owners Association (ROA) Awards.
She is the first group winner produced by Gr.1 Matron Stakes winner Emulous (Dansili) and is a full sister to Daring Diva, the grandam of Gr.1 Kentucky Derby winner Mandaloun.
