Blue Bolt (IRE)

Blue Bolt broke her maiden on only her second racecourse outing in May 2025. She put together a sequence of three wins culminating in victory in the Listed Distaff Stakes at Sandown on Coral Eclipse day.

She was runner-up in the Gr.3 Atalanta Stakes and Gr.1 Sun Chariot Stakes at the end of her three year-old-season. Her return to the racecourse for the start of her four-year-old campaign saw her stamp her class over a quality field to win the Listed Conqueror Fillies' Stakes at Goodwood in early May.

She took another step forward in June 2026, winning with authority in the Gr.2 Duke Of Cambridge Stakes at Royal Ascot. This was was followed up less than a month later with a convincing two and three-quarter length win in the Group 1 Falmouth Stakes at Newmarket during the July Festival.

She re-opposed Falmouth Stakes runner-up Precise at Deauville in the Gr.1 Prix Rothschild three weeks later. The result was the same with Blue Bolt victorious after a late surge in the final stages that saw her finish half a length in front.

Blue Bolt delivered at the top table again in her next race, the Group 1 Matron Stakes at Leopardstown (12th September). She overcame the widest draw before racing comfortably behind the leaders. Going into the straight she tracked the accelerating leader, Fallen Angel before quickening up in devastating fashion and taking the lead with just under a furlong to go. She pulled away to win by two and three-quarter lengths.

She was bred by C-Squared Investments in Ireland and was purchased at Arqana August Yearling Sale for €400,000.
