Baratti (GB)

Baratti was unraced at two but won on his three-year-old debut at Chantilly in April 2021. He won a further two conditions races before earning his first blacktype with a third place finish in the Listed Grand Prix du Nord at Chantilly in November of the same year.

He opened his four-year-old season with another conditions race win at Chantilly in early March. His first stakes win came in April with a win in the Listed Prix Lord Seymour at Paris Longchamp after battling his way to the line in a sprint finish. Baratti made his first Group level start in the Grand Prix de Saint-Cloud in early July. He ran into the lead over two furlongs out but was passed by three-time Group 1 winner Alpinista with a furlong to go, eventually finishing as runner-up.

Baratti is a half-brother to four-time Gr.1 winner Proviso and Champion Older Horse in France Byword. He is also a full brother to Finche, a Group winner in both France and Australia.
