Agave (GB)

Agave made a winning debut in September of her juvenile season at ParisLongchamp. She went into the race as the 6-4 favourite and had no hesitation in justifying the tag. She held the lead after the first two furlongs and had first run on her rivals from the top of the straight, extending to win by half a length.

Her three -year-old season debut was also completed in a very professional manner, this time at Listed level. Employing patient tactics in rear until turning for home, she made smooth headway out wide to challenge with 300 metres remaining and quickened in style in the closing stages to easily outclass race leader Ondulee by three lengths for her first blacktype.

Agave's next outing saw her take the Gr.3 Prix Penelope under a hands and heels ride from Jockey Olivier Peslier. In her next run, in the Gr.2 Prix Greffulhe at Saint-Cloud, she earned second place after a fast-finishing Onesto (Frankel) took the lead from her in the final 100 yards.

Agave is the second foal out Group-placed Contribution, a half-sister to three blacktype performers including  multiple Gr.1 winner Enable.
