Accede was a debut winner in March of her three-year-old season, opening her account with a comfortable win in a Maiden Special Weight at Gulfstream Park. She raced five more times that season, adding some blacktype to her page with a third place finish in the Grade 2 Eight Belles Stakes at Churchill Downs, and rounded out the year with a win at Keeneland.
Her four-year-old campaign picked up where she left off with another win at Keeneland in April. Her next run saw her make her stakes breakthrough, digging in gamely to win the Grade 2 Bed O'Roses Stakes at Aqueduct by a neck.
Accede was produced by three-time Graded winner Jibboom (Mizzen Mast), a full sister to Group 1 winner Sea Defence, and counts Group 3 winner Flying Jib (Oasis Dream) as a half-sister. She became Mizzen Mast's 15th Graded winner as a broodmare sire.
