Listed Prix Yacowlef win for two-year-old Apollo Fountain

André Fabre-trained two-year-old Apollo Fountain out in an impressive display to take the Listed Prix Yacowlef at Deauville on only her second start (6th July).

Taken from the Thoroughbred Daily News, 7th July 2024:

Homebred Apollo Fountain made light work of Saturday's Listed Prix Yacowlef at Deauville. Runner-up to Wertheimer blueblood Polyvega at Chantilly last month, the 3-1 favourite was keen early in the hands of Alexis Pouchin as he opted to drop out last. Delivering a dramatic surge to hit the front passing the furlong pole, the Andre Fabre-trained daughter of Gr.3 Prix de Lieurey winner Fount from the family of Ventura stayed on powerfully to record a three-length success from Kaadi.

Apollo Fountain is the second foal out of the aforementioned Fount, a daughter of the four-times top-level winner Ventura who is also the second dam of the Gr.1 Saudi Cup hero Emblem Road. This is the family of the multiple group winners Trade Fair  and Tested and the Gr.1 Australian Cup hero Harlem.
