Impel secures her first stakes win in the Listed Groupie Doll Stakes

Impel, tagged as the first 'TDN Rising Star' of 2024, proved best in the Listed Groupie Doll Stakes on Sunday (10th August) at Ellis Park for her first blacktype success.

The filly's three-year-old campaign included a third in the Gr.1 Central Bank Ashland Stakes, a second in the Gr.2 Eight Belles Stakes, and a third place finish in the Gr.3 Indiana Oaks. She came into the race off a win at Churchill Downs where she defeated allowance company at eight furlongs on 22nd June. Veering out a bit from her outside post, the filly reattached herself with the rest of the field, sitting a wide third up the backstretch. Making steady progress around the far turn, Impel lead the field in tandem with Taxed into the top of the stretch. While Regaled and Alpine Princess made their respective, Impel continued to fight on from the inside, just getting her nose down in time as the 5-1 fourth choice.

Not only is Your Love a full-sister to Graded winner and Grade 1 performer Economic Model, she is a half-sister to Grade 1 performer and stakes winner Happy American, multiple stakes winner Jimmy Simms, and Graded winner and multiple Grade 1 performer Well Monied. The winner's dam has produced juvenile filly Abha and a weanling colt by Not This Time. Your Love was bred back to Into Mischief for 2026.
